Valley Schools, Arizona’s largest provider of insurance benefits and wellness services for school district employees in Arizona, was honored with a Platinum Healthy Arizona Worksite Award. This award is the highest award given for worksite wellness in Arizona. The Platinum Award recognizes businesses that make a strong impact to address health issues and improve equity among businesses in Arizona.

The Healthy Arizona Worksite Award recognizes employers for their efforts to support employee health and wellness. There are four levels of the award: Platinum, Gold, Silver and Copper. Glendale Elementary School District, Alhambra Elementary School District, and Peoria Unified School District, all members of Valley Schools, also won recognition at this year’s event for their efforts to ensure healthy lifestyles for their employees.

“We are honored to win this award,” says CEO and Chairman Tom Boone, “But we are equally as proud of our members, GESD, AESD, and PUSD for being recognized as well. At Valley Schools, we believe we must encourage a healthy, active lifestyle for our employees and our members’ employees. Healthy people collectively make our communities stronger and lowers healthcare costs which ultimately benefits all Arizona schools. Healthy educators teaching healthy children ensures a brighter future for our state. That’s what we are all about,” he added.
